Mount Kilimanjaro (5895 meters = 19,340 feet) is the roof of Africa.
Located in Tanzania just 340 km south of the equator, it is highest free standing mountain in the world.
First at the top were in 1889: German Hans Meyer & Austrian Ludwig Purtscheller
