bhradio > The climate conditions in the Alpine zone (Base Camp, South and North Inylchek glacier) are severe, for the basic camp is situated on 4000 m above the sea level, and more than 50% of the territory is covered by eternal snow. Daytime temperature drops from 15 - 7 C. At night the temperature is usually below 0 Celsius. This is frozen desert. For the time of our stay in the BC I took time for the search around and found that area is not so deserted at all. There are many little plants fighting for survival with this harsh climate.
